INCENTIVE SCHEME FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF UNEMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS
The incentive scheme concerns the recruitment of unemployed individuals, registered with the Public Employment Service before the date of recruitment (The unemployment period must be valid up to one day before the date of recruitment). The scheme covers only full employment status.
The sponsorship will be granted for the first ten months of employment, while the employer will be obliged to maintain the employment for two additional months.
A basic condition for participation in the scheme is that no employee has been dismissed or will be dismissed from 1st of March 2020 until the 31st of December 2020, except in cases where dismissal is justified without notice.
The salary that will be given to the person who will be hired through the scheme cannot be lower than the minimum wage of €870, with an adjustment to €924 within six months. The maximum possible grant is € 8,600.

The incentive scheme concerns the recruitment of young people, aged 15 to 29 years (29 years and 364 days) at the date of recruitment, who are registered as unemployed in the Public Employment Service before the date of recruitment and who are out of education or training. (Unemployment period must be valid up to one day before the date of employment). The scheme covers only full employment status.
The sponsorship will be granted for the first ten months of employment, while the employer will be obliged to maintain the employment for two additional months.

The incentive scheme concerns the recruitment of individuals who have been released from the Central Prisons of the Republic of Cyprus and who are registered as unemployed in the Public Employment Service before the date of recruitment. (Unemployment period must be valid up to one day before the date of employment). The scheme covers full or part time employment.
The sponsorship will be granted for twenty-four months of employment
